New construction changes the lighting problem. On an open lot with fresh plantings, we design for the landscape now and for what it will be once the trees fill in, placing fixtures and zones so the system still holds in five years. Near Percy Priest Lake, a lot may run to the water, where the light has to stay off the surface — and either way the homes are built to entertain, with open-concept plans, smart-home wiring, and decks and patios out back.
Light TN runs each Smyrna project the same way. Daryl Bentfield walks the property, you approve a photorealistic rendering before we dig, installation meets licensed contractor CE-D: 76580 standards, and we return after dark to aim every fixture. We bury wire trenchless so a new lawn or an established one stays whole — the work behind more than 500 Middle Tennessee projects since 2020.
Smyrna's newer estates come with young landscapes and open lots. We light for the trees the property has and the trees it will have, graze the beds, and on a Percy Priest lakefront lot keep every beam off the water — all rendered before we dig.
